  JEC Spot On! ELED Freshmen Kick Off with a Spectacular Inauguration           October 25, 2025 was a special day for the English Language Education Study Program. The biggest event and phenomenal competition held, the Java English Competition 2025. It's a burst of fun and spirit, gathering students across Java and also the students of ELED itself. From the lecturers, fifth semester students, third semester students, and finally our little sparks, the freshmen from first semester, had participated in this event. While other students became committee members, the first semester participated as inauguration performers.            Java English Competition 2025: Culture in Motion, Language in Motion           Surabaya, October 25, 2025 – The annual Java English Competition (JEC) 2025 successfully took place at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UINSA) Surabaya. Organized by the English Education Student Association (HMP PBI), this year’s JEC carried the inspiring theme “Language as a Bridge, Culture as a Guide: Empowering Indonesian Youth to Share Their Cultural Identity with the World.”         The day began early at 5:00 a.m. with a committee briefing and a joint prayer.
