Bridging Visions: Building Impactful English Organizations

    

    Surabaya, September 12, 2026 – Students from HIMA Prodi PBI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya Traveled to Universitas Negeri Surabaya’s Lidah Wetan campus this morning for a comparative study (Studi Banding), hosted by English Language Education Student Association (ELCASA) Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The event, titled “Bridging Visions: Building Impactful English Organizations,” Carried the theme “Enhancing Organizational Quality and English Development through Collaborative Innovation.”

    The event kicked off at 7:30 AM with a check-in and a briefing for the committee, before officially Opening at 7:55 AM with remarks from the MCs. The atmosphere turned solemn as all participants Stood together to sing Indonesia Raya. A series of welcoming speeches followed one after another. It Began with the Head of the Studi Banding Committee from UNESA, Dewi Dharma Puspita Sari, Followed by her counterpart from HIMA Prodi PBI UINSA, Gian Aulia Zakiyah Rihmah. Next came Remarks from the Chairperson of ELCASA UNESA, Reza Savana Firmansyah, and the session was Closed with a speech from the Chairperson of HIMA Prodi PBI UINSA, Nurul Hidayati.

    Moving into the main agenda, both organizations took turns presenting in the Organizational Insight Session. UNESA went first, with representatives from each department explaining their profiles, work Programs, and the challenges they’ve faced along with how they addressed them. The floor then passed To the visiting delegation from HIMA Prodi PBI UINSA, who delivered a similar presentation from Their side. This session turned into a genuine learning exchange, as it turned out several work programs From both organizations shared strikingly similar concepts despite carrying different names, while Others had clearly inspired one another. A few programs even shared the exact same name, yet turned Out to be entirely different events in practice.

    After two fairly dense presentation sessions, the mood was lightened again with an ice-breaking Activity led by the MCs. Participants from both campuses were then split into small groups for a Forum Group Discussion (FGD). In Session A, discussions centered on introductions between organizational Functionaries, tips for maintaining the quality and sustainability of work programs, and strategies for Tackling organizational challenges. The discussion continued into Session B, combined with a break, Where each group distilled their conversation into a mind map.

    Toward the end of the event, an Appreciation Session was held as a form of mutual recognition Between the two organizations, marked by an exchange of tokens of appreciation from each side’s Committee heads and organization chairpersons. The Studi Banding officially wrapped up with a Closing & Networking session led by the MCs, which also included joint documentation and content Creation. The event concluded with an internal evaluation among the committee.

Through this Studi Banding, ELCASA UNESA and HIMA Prodi PBI UINSA hope to strengthen the Bond between English-language student organizations, while opening the door for more impactful Collaborations in the future.
