General Election: The Beginning of Leadership Regeneration
Friday, December 26, 2025, General Election for Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training was held under the sunny day in the front yard of the faculty building, there we were gathered and standing under the warm sun to reconcile the start of the new generation. The general election was conducted as a democratic process to ensure leadership continuity and student representation within the faculty. This big event held under the Faculty Student Senate (SEMA), participated by the Student Association across the departments such as English Language Education, Arabic Language Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education, Islamic Early Childhood Education, Islamic Elementary Teacher Education, Islamic Religious Education, and Islamic Education Management.
The event experienced a delay before officially starting. The opening ceremony started at 10 o’clock and was led by the Masters of Ceremonies, followed by opening remarks from the Chief of the General Election Committee of the Faculty Student Senate and the Chief of the Faculty Student Senate. Afterwards, all participants recited a dua together. Entering the main agenda, the committee then explained the election procedures by outlining each step. First, participants verified their identity using their student ID cards and signed the attendance list. They then received two ballot cards: the first for the Student Association and the second for the Faculty Student Executive Board (DEMA). Next, participants cast their votes by marking their ballot papers and placing them in the ballot boxes provided.
After three hours, the voting process ended, and the committee began counting the votes. A total of twenty-seven votes were legally counted for the election of the new leaders of the English Language Education Student Association. With this, the new Head and Vice Head of the English Language Education Student Association (HIMA PBI) were officially announced, with Nurul Hidayati as the Head and Arya Putra Nugraha as the Vice Head. Both of them were honourably believed and selected by the English Language Education Student Association family with the expectation to strengthen togetherness within the members. It is hoped that the newly elected leaders will bring fresh ideas, integrity, and collaboration to advance student organizations in the upcoming period.
This event also marked the end of the 2025 period of the English Language Education Student Association. From January to December, all of the members are truly dynamic and amazing. In the spirit of democracy and togetherness, sincere appreciation is extended to all members who have contributed their time, energy, and dedication to supporting the Student Association’s activities. Once again, congratulations to the newly elected leaders, Nurul Hidayati and Arya Putra Nugraha. As the new period begins, the time is yours.
