"Together We Begin: Embrashing A New Academic Chapter"

        Surabaya, August 30, 2025 – The ELED Students Connect 2025 event was successfully held by the English Education Study Program Student Association (HMP PBI) of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The event took place from 7:30 AM to 12:50 PM on the 4th floor of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Building.

        The series of events began with participant registration at 7:30 a.m., followed by the opening by the MC and the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and the UINSA anthem. Next, remarks were delivered by the Student Association Chair and the Program Chair. The event then continued with a joint prayer led by the head of the language department.

         At 8:30 AM, participants were invited to join an introductory game session led by the committee. After that, the main agenda began with the presentation of material. The first material was titled "New Students' Perceptions of Choosing the Wrong Major," presented by Aldianto, followed by a question and answer session. To keep the participants enthusiastic, the MC led an ice breaking session before moving on to the second material.

        The second material was presented by Belly Ubaidila with the topic "Tips for Staying on Track and Structured in College and Graduating on Time," which was also accompanied by a Q&A session. After the presentation, participants practiced making a Semester Plan, which was then presented in front of the group. 

        The event became even more lively with entertainment by Student Talent (ST), namely performances by Elyan and Sita. After that, the HMP PBI administrators promoted various work programs such as JEC, TOEFL Prep, International Seminar, English Week & Club, Writing Day, EAGER, and Student Talent (banjari, futsal, and badminton).

        Towards the end of the event, the head of the English education study program conveyed the FBI (Forum Beasiswa dan Informasi) to the participants. The MC then officially closed the event. Before parting ways, participants and organizers took group photos together. As a warm conclusion, all participants enjoyed fellowship over a shared meal. Through this activity, it is hoped that new students will become more familiar with the program environment, build solidarity, and be motivated to pursue their studies in a more focused and timely manner.
