Research on Vacation 2025: A Deep Dive Into Journalism With Research
Surabaya, August 14, 2025 — Research On Vacation 2025 with the theme “A Deep Dive Into Journalism With Research” was successfully organized by the Student Association of the English Language Education Department (HIMAPRODIPBI), UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The event took place at Graha Pena Jawa Pos, Surabaya, and was attended by members of the English Language Education Study Program Student Association.
The program began at 10:00 WIB, starting with walk together from the UIN Sunan Ampel campus to the Jawa Pos office, which is conveniently located just across the street. Upon arrival, participants registered and were directed to the Redaksi Studio. The event was hosted by Reisha, one of the Jawa Pos interns, who served as the Master of Ceremony. The main session featured by Mr. Andri Teguh Pryantoro from Jawa Pos, who delivered insightful material on journalism, including news writing and the fundamentals of the field. This was followed by an interactive Q&A session and a guided tour of the Jawa Pos office, where students observed the editorial process, news writing in progress, and the overall newsroom environment.
The agenda concluded with a group photo session and the opportunity to watch a live news broadcast being aired on television. This event not only broadened students’ understanding of journalism but also provided valuable knowledge and hands-on experience that will support their future endeavors.
