Fostering Social Awareness and Responsibility through Charity
Charity is a type of community
service program organized by the Public Relations Division of Himaprodi PBI on
August 7th–10th, 2023 in Kalialo Hamlet, Kupang Village, Jabon District,
Sidoarjo Regency. This service program is led by Oky Agus Sarvita. It focuses
on education in the form of teaching the students at SDN Kupang 4, Jabon, to
train and develop their English language skills. The charity activity began
with an opening by the head of the community, namely Mrs. Kumairoh and also
TPQ's teacher, namely Mrs. Masitoh, which was led by the MC, namely M. Farid
Ubaidillah. Then, it continued with tidying up the TPQ area and a briefing for
the next day's event.
On Tuesday, August 8th, 2023, at
10 a.m., teaching and learning activities were carried out, which began with
the introduction of each teacher and followed by singing a song before praying.
Next, the teacher gave material in the form of vocabulary for animals around
Kalialo hamlet to memorize, such as shrimp, fish, crab, goat, monkey, and
snake. During the lesson, the teacher also gave games and prizes to the
students, then required students to write down to record animal vocabularies so
that they memorize them. In addition, at 2 p.m., there is TPQ learning. In this
session, the activity was initiated by Ms. Masitoh, a teacher at TPQ, and
followed by reciting the Qur'an with students. Then, at 7 p.m., an evaluation
was carried out for today's learning activities.
On Wednesday, August 9th, 2023,
at 10 a.m., there will be teaching and learning activities in the form of
reviewing the animal vocabulary that was taught on Tuesday. Learning begins
with the introduction of each teacher and is followed by singing a song before
praying. Next, review the material that has been learned through games and
followed by other games in groups. Then, the learning activities ended with the
awarding of prizes to the group that won the games. At 2 p.m., there are
learning activities at TPQ until 3 p.m. Furthermore, an evaluation of today's
learning activities was carried out at 7 p.m. and closed by having a feast of
noodles together.
On Thursday, August 10th, 2023, at 10 a.m., a farewell activity was held with students at SDN Kupang 4. This activity began with the introduction of the teachers and was followed by singing a song before praying. Then, a little review of the material and followed by the distribution of prizes to the students. Furthermore, this activity ended with the submission of vandel and certificates, as well as a photo with the teachers of SDN 4 Kupang, Jabon, Sidoarjo. At 11 a.m., the closing of the Charity event was held by saying goodbye to the head of the community and TPQ's teacher, followed by a group photo.
