Ramadan Islamic Studies and Takjil on The Road

    The holy month of Ramadan is a time that Muslims look forward to every year. Because in this month, Muslims are obligated to fast for a whole month. Not only fasting, Muslims can improve the quality of other worship as well such as praying taraweeh, reading the Quran, almsgiving, and participating in studies to improve religious knowledge and muslim quality.

    This month is an important time to achieve double reward. Therefore, HIMAPRODI PBI and CEDA (Community of English Department Alumni) take advantage of this holy month of Ramadan by organizing Ramadhan Studies and Takjil on the Road activities intended to pray to others. Through these two important activities, HIMAPRODI PBI and CEDA carried the theme "Ramadhan berkah menuju insan yang istiqomah dalam beribadah dan memperkuat Ukhuwah Islamiyyah" which was held on Saturday, April 8th, 2023, at the Anwar Qosim Islamic boarding school.

    This event began with an opening conducted by Nurani Bintang Soleilluna as the master of ceremony assigned by HIMAPRODI PBI. Followed by qiraah (recitation of the holy verse of Quran) recited by Wanda Nur Hanifa as a representative of HIMAPRODI PBI. Before entering the main event, there were several remarks given, namely by Qonita Azizah as the chief executive of Ramadan Islamic Studies and Takjil on the Road, Iin Widayani, S.Pd., M.Pd as a representative of CEDA, and Muhammad Mambaul Ulumudin M.Pd.I as the head of the Anwar Qosim Islamic boarding school.

    Moving on from the extraordinary remarks that had been delivered, this activity entered the core event which began with the announcement of orphan compensation by HIMAPRODI PBI and CEDA. Caring for orphans is one of the main agendas planned by HIMAPRODI PBI and CEDA, because Ramadan is the right moment to do good things and share with others, namely by embracing and helping orphans. The event was continued with istighosah led by M. Farkhi Faisol Hakim, M.Pd as a representative of CEDA. No less important to enter the last core of event that it is the Ramadan Islamic Study delivered by Ust. H. Dr. Bassam Abul A'la, S.Pd., M.Pd. who discussed the virtues of surah Al-Ikhlas and istiqomah (consistency). He conveyed the wisdom of istiqomah in practicing Surah Al-Ikhlas, which will be facilitated by Allah SWT both towards goodness and heaven. Insya Allah. It is hoped that this Ramadan study will increase the knowledge and quality of each invited guests who attended this activity.

    In addition to the main activities of Ramadan Islamic studies held at the Anwar Qosim Islamic Boarding School, several representatives of HIMAPRODI PBI have also distributed takjil in mushola or mosques and highways outside the Anwar Qosim Islamic Boarding School. This takjil’s fund was obtained from aid funds or donations that have been collected by HIMAPRODI PBI and CEDA. This tradition of sharing takjil is an annual event held by HIMAPRODI PBI.

    The event was then closed with a prayer led by Althafurrahman, S.Pd., M.Pd as a representative of CEDA. Then continued with closing by MC, joint documentation and breaking the fast together. The month of Ramadan is a month when Muslims are vying in doing good. This event received appreciation from the head of the Anwar Qosim Islamic boarding school. There are many benefits that can be taken from this event, because Ramadan is a precious time to improve the quality of worship and get closer to Allah SWT.
