JEC 2023 IS COMING!
Hello fellas! How are you? We are
from the Student Association of English Language Education Department UIN Sunan
Ampel Surabaya and we have good news! Java English Competition (JEC) 2023 is
coming! Come on, who is waiting for this info, let's come closer! The Java
English Competition or what we usually call JEC is an annual event held by the
ELED UINSA student association this year with the theme "Instilling
Youth's English Competence and Creativity Towards Indonesia's Golden Generation
2045".
As in previous years, JEC has 4
competition branches that students from junior high school, high school, and
D1/D2/D3/D4/S1 students can participate in. The competition branches are the
English Olympiad for junior and senior high school students, Story Telling for junior
high school students, Speech Contest for high school students, and Essay
Competition for university students. Batch 1 registration has been opened from
17 April to 16 July 2023 and registration for batch 2 will be opened from 17
July to 17 September 2023. The highlight of the JEC 2023 event will be held on
Saturday, 14 October 2023.
This year's JEC is slightly
different from the previous year. If last year’s JEC was held online, this
year's JEC will be held in a hybrid manner, namely a combination of online and
offline. The general mechanism for implementing JEC this year applies online
for the preliminary rounds and offline for the semifinals and finals. So the
semi-finalists and finalists will come directly to UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
